COVID 19

by Hulin Robert

The world is on it’s knees
Because of a dirty little virus
Hiding in the trees

The Chinese found it first
And kept it quiet endangering the
Earth

It didn’t take long for it to spread
Young, old, poor or rich, on all
It fed

It attacked all nations big and small
Tough restrictions governments did install

No sports to watch, no dining out
It made a person want to pout

Our President said there’s not much to it
Before long we’ll get through it

Yet number of infections proliferated
Made us think we’d never be liberated

Science labs struggled to cope
Testing vaccines to give us hope

Health care workers are the heroes
As the graves lined up in rows

Economies struggled jobs were lost
Terrible it is who knows the cost

Hugs are out love is on hold
But a vaccine is coming we are told
